Our Story
Both me and Justin's health journey has been long and winding, and like many in our country in broken systems often without health insurance, and where western medicine fails even when we have access to it. We have both had to navigate healing naturally through movement, meditation, and of course plants. Justin has scoliosis, and a typical neurodivergent autistic combination of hypermobility, ADHD, bad posture, and habits. He also has chronic lyme we are slowly treating with herbs which creates joint and nerve pain. Cannabis and CBD has been the only thing to help him with his chronic pain and seizures.
Hope got into yoga and pain relief after a lumbar spine fracture when she was young playing competitive softball that western medicine could'nt fully heal. She also developed painful PMDD and was determined to heal her cycle and hormones without birth control naturally.
Living in Vermont in 2018, CBD became legal and started popping up everywhere. We had always grown weed ourselves, and it was exciting to have a legal version of it. As Hope was pursuing art, teaching art, and teaching yoga, Justin started experimenting extracting CBD naturally through a solventless process, the same process of hashmaking that was hundreds of years old and becoming popular in THC cannabis as well.
As we continue working with this plant, we continue to find more benefits from it including anxiety relief, sleep help, gut health, and skin healing. CBD is truly an all around remedio, which is what we named our tincture. Although CBD is a focus we also study and share our other herbal medicines that help us manage our health and my cycle, and Hope is developing blends and medicines to share and help people naturally balance themselves. She is also studying Mexican Traditional Medicine including postpartum care, sweat lodges, and curanderismo with teachers both in the US and Mexico.
We hope to one day have an herbal and mushroom farm, with a healing space where we can teach workshops, have community events, hold sweats and ceremonies, and connect to indigenous, BIPOC and mexican folk in particular to recclaim our traditional medicinal practices and health. Thank you for supporting our medicine journey!
